What makes us different
Not just another boat
Our charters run aboard the Plautus, a Gamefisherman 40 hand-built in Costa Rica in 1986 by Dennis Garrett. She is cold-molded wood, refit in 2012 and fully restored in 2020, and she still fishes the waters where she was born.
The Gamefisherman 40 design is known for a trolling wake that raises marlin and sailfish. In 1990, one of the model's earliest hulls released more than 1,330 billfish in 190 days fishing out of Flamingo.
